K-9 and SWAT Integration Course
(3-4 days)

30-40 hours customized curriculum, which is based on the K-9 teams’ abilities and availability of equipment and venues. K-9 / SWAT integration, unfortunately much of the state’s tactical units do not fully integrate K-9’s into their teams. They are often called upon on the day of warrant services or high risk call outs such as barricades and high-risk arrest missions. Without standardized tactics and training, this often leads to inconsistent performance from not only the K-9 team but the unit as a whole.
This is an introductory course to help guide the integration of the K-9 team with the tactical unit, but also to show commanders and team leaders the advantages and disadvantages that a properly selected and trained dog team can provide them during high-risk operations.
